Sea of Tranquility
The changing light on the moon unveils the Sea of Tranquility as the sun casts light of the waxing crescent moon. The sea is the large dark basin region close to the centre of the surface of the moon made up of solidified lava plains. It is rich is metal minerals in the basaltic soil and is a light blue is colour.
Humans first stepped foot on the Sea of Tranquility on the Apollo 11 mission to explore the mountainous lunar landscape.
