Horse Head Rock II

On the 2024 Star Chaser III tour, myself with 6 other Star Chaser's were fortunate to have pristine conditions for capturing the Milky Way over Horse Head Rock on the South Coast. This iconic natural formation, bathed in the glow of the Milky Way, is a dream shot for many astrophotographers. My previous attempts to capture this image took nearly 6 months due to unexpected challenges like clouds, haze and a trawlers beaming light. However, on this trip, we enjoyed remarkable skies throughout, allowing us to capture the beauty of the scene in one stunning shot.
