Long Jetty Milky Way
Long Jetty is iconic to the Central Coast, it is a sunset destination people flock to over the holidays and weekends. It is an treasured landmark over 100 years old full of history.
It is located in a heavily light polluted area in the heart of the Central Coast which makes astrophotography challenging. Surrounding lights wash out the night sky and through photography techniques and processing I am able to capture the Milky Way over the jetty.
This panorama displays a cool blue tone due to city lights which is present when shooting in large city populations. Even with the challenging conditions I love shooting at the jetty as it is symbolic to the Central Coast and where many people come together to watch a sunset.
For me, it is a place to watch the night sky, as even though the conditons are not perfect the jetty refined as a historic piece of the Central Coast.
Frames are avaialable in black or white Italian-Made frame or premium Australian oak. Frame size is 3cm wide with a black or white acid-free matboard. The glass is clear glazed and professionally-finished comes ready to hang in your home.
